Terms of Service
Last updated: June 5, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Mythmaker (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The Service
Mythmaker is a solo-play tabletop roleplaying application with AI-assisted game mastering. The Service generates fictional narrative content at your direction across three modes (Assistant, Game Master, and Autonomous). You are responsible for the prompts you submit and how you use the content you create.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Payments, credits, and our reseller
Polar as Merchant of Record. Purchases are processed by Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”), which acts as the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for the Service. When you buy credits, your purchase contract for that transaction is with Polar, and Polar — not us — is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, and similar taxes. Your purchase is also subject to the Polar Buyer Terms and the Polar Privacy Policy. Your right to use the Service and any credits is licensed to you by us under these Terms.
Prepaid credits. The Service is offered on a prepaid-credit basis. Credits are consumed as you play. Purchased credits are not transferable and have no cash value except as described in our Refund Policy. Prices and pack sizes may change; changes do not affect credits already purchased.
Immediate performance. Credits unlock a digital service that is delivered and consumed immediately as you use it. Where you are a consumer with a statutory right of withdrawal (for example in the EU or UK), you expressly request that performance begin immediately at purchase and acknowledge that, to the extent permitted by law, you lose any right of withdrawal once the relevant credits have been consumed. See the Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, circumvent metering or credit limits, resell or redistribute access, or generate content that violates applicable law. You are also bound by the Polar Acceptable Use Policy for the purchase transaction. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
Payment abuse. Initiating chargebacks or payment disputes for credits you have purchased and consumed, or a pattern of refund requests that abuses our Refund Policy, is a breach of these Terms. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first at support@mythmakerpg.com so we can resolve it directly. We may suspend or terminate accounts, and decline future business, where we reasonably determine that chargebacks or refund requests are being used abusively or in bad faith.
6. Content and ownership
As between you and us, you retain rights to the campaign text you create, subject to the rights of underlying data providers. Oracle datasets are used under the CC BY 4.0 license (see our attribution). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content as needed to operate the Service (including sending it to our AI provider). AI-generated output is provided to you for your use, but similar or identical output may be generated for other users, and we make no claim that AI output is unique or free of third-party rights. The Service software and branding remain ours.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, unexpected, or unsuitable, and is fictional. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings locally.
10. Changes and termination
We may modify the Service or these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms.
